Grote Nete winds its way through its valley, which is populated with castles, farm shops and green meanders. Here, between Nijlen and Geel, we aim to develop a much more varied, lush, and open landscape. The sometimes-parched region craves more wetlands. We are treating the valley to more than 850 hectares of flower-filled grasslands, spirea brushwood and reed beds. But visitors will also be spoiled with new bicycle and pedestrian bridges and improved cycle network connections.
