This Kempen Sigma Plan project spreads out over Lier, Duffel, Nijlen, Grobbendonk, Berlaar and Zandhoven. Here, agriculture, nature, forests and a dense urban environment are tightly interspersed. It is a real feat to adapt the valley to climate change on all these fronts. Simultaneously, we are creating 265 hectares of space here to accommodate a wide range of unique flora and fauna. Be sure to also visit Pallieterland, the green lung around Lier where all kinds of nature initiatives are in the pipeline.
