Soon the rare great burnet and the great crested newts will be returned to their thrones in the charming Dorent nature reserve. Dorent is situated right next to the ‘new’, canalised Zenne and is intersected by smaller canals, brooks and the ‘Old’ Zenne. Because of this unique location, this nature area is perfect for the development of wetlands.
